Family Search -- This free, comprehensive site contains many, many resources that in many instances are equal to or better than commercial database providers. Of course, each content provider has areas of strength so be sure to check them all out. For this list we are concentrating on free resources. This is a massive repository of information so plan to spend plenty of time becoming familiar with it.
The Family Search Wiki -- This is a Wiki, a powerful repository of free information from around the world to help you do research. Here you will also find resources linking you to various repositories, and this is a helpful place to become familiar with the resources provided by Family Search.
